Emotion Regulation


Emotion Regulation module helps clients first identify their emotions which then helps them to figure out what they mean and how they can regulate them to a more manageable level day to day. The skill ‘checking the facts’ allows clients to take time and evaluate whether their emotion is based on fact or interpretations/assumptions and judgments. This can reduce the intensity as well as open more problem-solving situations for them to regulate the emotion rather than suppress it. We also help clients build a life that reduces temptation and increases motivation for lifelong goals. By working towards the type of life they want unhealthy behaviours begin to no longer benefit them the way they did before.


Group sessions are 1.5 hour sessions over a period of 12 weeks.
